hi,

thanks for checking in,

I just read html and css, as addition to many online courses (free) and i think i got it now. 90% thanks to Oreilly.

Since I dont know much about the web, im a little confused bout my next step. i see the following options (by Oreilly)
- php and mysql (2008)
- php, mysql and javascript (2009)
- html5 programming (newest)

now, my goal is making stuff like mmo, e-commerce, dating-site, and again: mmo :P , etc.
flashy sites are not my thing, so i thought, i just skip js, and go right to php/mysql.
but then, the book is from 2008, aint that old / outdated?

or maybe you guys/girls advice me in a compleet other way. i read good things about RoR, would that be a smart move for me?

pff, i hope you can help me!
regards, ronstar.
