hi
i am currently creating a social network. i have set up a SIGN UP, LOGIN and PROFILE pages where data is stored/retrieved from the database.
as i said i am doing a social network and i was wondering if it is a good idea to create a new table for every user that signs up. so each customer has their data stored in one place. is that a good idea?, or is there any other ways to store/retrieve users data?

thanks

a new table for each login? no, but you should have a single table for each login.

That's not very efficient. You can separate the user data across tables and join them using a userid. For example if you wanted a user table, a movie table, a music table, and a fashion table to store information about your site, you would use a userid field to keep track of all the user information between those sections of your site. No need to create a new table for each user.
