In Ears Or On Ears?

So im currently upgrading my life......long story i guess. I have been recording for quite sometime with some lousy earbuds and have found myself replacing them recently with the earbuds that came with my new samsung phone. I mix down in a buddies studio and have never had a problem getting the right signals when printing, so im not necessarily concerned with "audio" quality, but im interested in, in ear monitors....its either that or go with some SENN HD280's....any input on the in ears? Outside of their expense, as im well aware and willing to spend it...
