Examples 18-2 And 18-3 Are these codes supposed to run in

IE, Google Chrome and Firefox? None of these browsers will display the linked URL. However, if I run the code in the Apache Server in my WAMP, the URL does display and work.

Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

I'm using the 1st edition. The examples in question are AJAX exercises that are near identical to Examples 17- 2 and 17-3 in the 2nd edition.
