Example 10-8 in the book doesn't work for some weird reason. No, I didn't type anything wrong, or even if I did it wouldn't matter as the example, downloaded straight from the net from the author, does not work.

My understanding is that the problem use to be with not being able to delete records. No problem there, records delete just fine, in fact if I click the "add record" button twice, the program starts deleting records straight away... which shouldn't be possible.

Not only is there that strange delete loop, but when I try to enter anything, whether the word for word example from the book, a made up book, just an author in the author field, or nothing at all, it doesn't matter, I get the exact same error every single time:
"column count doesn't match value count at row 1".

Again, this happens without me having made a single mistake as this is how the file downloaded directly from the site:

HELP!

Are you using first or second edition? I'm using first and can probably help you. I've got code that runs correctly for every example in the book. IIRC, that example required some corrections which I submitted are errata but have not been posted.

It seems you are downloading old version of the code. Download the latest version and then try.

Before running also make sure the functions you are using are supported on Windows.
