Mail Set Up Problema

Well i think am done with all this mail set up thing , could any body here kindly illustrate " THE HOW TO " it's quite frustrating for me setting up one and thus killing my spirit to continue .

i have set up a mail sever with hmail , and a domain name with no-ip.org yet the configuration seems to be a daunting task .
Quit sure the problem is from the configuration.

a link to clarification is all am asking

But rather wouldn't it be more interesting to see how things work? .Anyway you got a point but i do still think i really need see how all these fix together. :huh:

yeah I could easily skip but whats the point ! knowing fully well am unable to complete that specific task. :(

There are a ton of posts about this, if you have a web host such as Godaddy, etc... use there mail servers to send an email. If not, its not worth wasting the time setting up on your machine.

but using mail sever from Godaddy or other hosting site to send message would'nt that be cost effective ? ...cos if it thus i did better forget and proceed on . ...but if not cost effective how will i make this possible if there is a link here pls do post it to me

if they host your website, it is cost effective as its free with your hosting. Are you hosting a website from your house? If so, just google how to setup a local mail server and you will be on your way

Am not hosting a website from my house , am only experimenting on the exercise on this book that's all . :)
And i hope i will get this solved somehow as am proceeding further to the nxt page. maybe someday i will get back to it .
