After running the setup.py sdist using python version 3.2.3 I did not get the build and lib folders or the extra copy of the original py file. Is this correct?

Sorry for the delay in responding to this issue. I just tried Python3 release 3.2.3 on Ubuntu 12.04.1 - it worked as described in the book. Can you provide more details? What platform are you on (Mac, Windows, Linux?) and can you upload a copy of your setup.py file? Check the messages that your "python3 setup.py sdist" produces. Were there any errors? Warnings? Do these differ from those in the book?

Hi Paul,
I encounted the similar issue on Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit with the Python 3.2.3. The actual result was that there is no the three folders (build/lib/dist) in the nester folder after installing nester.py. Please see the attachments for details. Hope to receive your apply as soon as possible.Thank you very much! Attached File  The content in setup.py .txt (294bytes)

Just tried this under Windows 7 using the latest Python 3... v3.3.0. I end up with a single "dist" folder with a ZIP file in it. This behavior differs from that on Linux and Mac OS X (as well as what's described in the first edition of the book). It is *not* an issue for WIndows users that "build" and "lib" are not created.

Thanks for pointing this out to me - I'll be sure to include a more Windows-friendly description of what's going on here in the Second Edition. :-)
