Form.submit Function Error!..no Event Response? css designed button using span tag ubnable to respond to onclick event

please see the attachments..
The blue button on the quiz_form.html is styled with css using the SPAN tag in html.
the onclick event doesnt perform any action.
i just want to know what is the bug in it.
where is the errror?
i tried but i just could not resolve the problem..
can u guys help me out !!!

sorry i forgot the source code...see the attachment for js file.i hav included comments only where there is a bug.
