Here is a good source of free sound effects for the new economy.

http://www.soundsnap.com/
Comment: the ones I tried were pretty good. And it has nice search capabilities - beats my CD libraries and old-skool phonebook-type search engine.

If you have any links, post them in this thread and I'll add them to this post at the top.

Here's another thumbs-up for SoundSnap. I've been using it since it launched in July 2007. The interface and terms are better than Freesound Project, another contender. I've also found some good stuff at Samplenet, which has a music orientation.

I made a unified search engine here:

New Free Sound Site Gets It Right

And don't forget our own Great Big Kitty Litter Bucket of Casio Parts archive of public-domain sound effects. Quality over quantity. wink.gif

Hi all!
I got a question: Anyone worked with Audience Add-Ons Library http://www.audiencefx.eu?
Now starting audio postproduction for mini TV series and looking for good 5.1 audience reactions effects. Audience Add-Ons seems to be perfect so asking if anyone used it. Or maybe there are some other 5.1 libraries. Thanks guys.
