Alright, i have MAMP setup correctly, working fine. Queries the DB and all... but the moment I do the code, for validating the screenshot... it all goes bunk. PHP error log reports " Undefined variable: screenshot_type". I've copied, pasted the code from the final version and still the same " Undefined variable: screenshot_type" error.

When i do it on my server... runs smoothly. No errors.

Its been over a week and and can't get through Chapter 5 due to the HTTP authentication that you have to go through in this chapter. Its utterly... utterly unreal how much time i've killed trying to get it to work. lol...

I can not believe how terrible its going with this chapter.

*shaking my head*

also, you might have errors enabled on your MAMP on not on your server. Is it working 100% properly on the server?

Drewdin, correct... i did download the files from the site here and uploaded them. (if that is the issue is there a correction in the text as of late?)

How, would i be able to check for errors in my MAMP setup. When I did the MAMP install i did the basic download and install... should i have tweaked something?

Also, one thing that did work was that HTTP solution posted on here in regards to HTTP Authentication.

My link

But when i ended up restarting the tutorial and went to redo this fix, it never worked again. I cleared my cache and everything from under the hood in the browser but never again did it work. I even deleted all the old files so it wouldn't conflict.

There a solution?

I am extremely serious about fixing this and continuing on.

Thanks for helping if you can.

DO you have display errors on in your php.ini? Do you get any errors? Does the generic screenshot show up?

Post he non-functional code so we can inspect
