Table Borders Not Showing - Chapter 13 A simple solution

You will probably find after downloading the relevant files from this site that the border lines aren't showing in Safari (at least) - well here's the simple solution:

The speech marks in the file downloaded are wrong, believe it or not - I spent an hour trying to correct this scanning forums on the web!

Simply change all the speech marks in the table.html file (& anything else you may need to for that matter) to " - that is, straight ones not the curly ones - & you will see the borders as they are displayed in the book!

Can you send me the link where you found the file with the incorrect quote characters? I just checked my local version and it's fine (it's using "straight" quotes), but I'd like to fix the code wherever you found the wrong version.

You're right, using the "curly" quotes will definitely cause a problem with HTML and CSS files and cause them to display incorrectly.
