Give me a reason for that. This edition is perfect from my view. rolleyes.gif

Careful not to write the previous version of the remainder of Pattern design completion?

I also would like to know, whether/when - at least after 6 years - the second edition will be published.
Reasons for a second edition:

In my opinion, the most compelling reason for a new edition is to have it less Java-specific. Design patterns are language-agnostic, and the way this book concentrated on Java was very annoying. Some of the code was so Java-specific that it was hard to work out what was being explained unless you happen to code in Java (which it seems that just one or two people might not!).

Come on O'Reilly, get your act together and update this wonderful book to make it truly language agnostic.
