Has anyone tried JoomlaXplorer (A File and FTP Manager Component for Joomla). It allows you to edit files, delete, copy, rename, archive and unpack files/directories directly on your server. A friend has a minor issue with this - after entering Joomla xplorer in the admin, the top admin menu stops working, has anyone faced similar issue?
If you can provide a review about this .. or suggest another comparable product that you have used, it will be quite helpful. I am almost convinced that it is the right product for me but your experience will help me taking an mindful decision.

So far my experience with this tool has been great. It may take a bit of time to integrate it thought based on your application complexity and requirement.

Jsmallfib has now better ratings than joomlaxplorer.
It is a native 1.5 Joomla! plugin extension, allows a normal Joomla! article to include a simple but effective file browser/manager. Current version is V 1.1

I dont like any extensions like (FTP) for joomla. because they have a lot of vulnerability!
Use Filezilla , Cute FTP or any independent programm

Interests:As the name of their show makes clear, TLC's Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have 19 kids—and, uh, counting. I spoke to the proud super-parents about the newest season of their reality show, how they make time for all of their offspring, and how they came up with all those J names!

I installed the stable release of JoomlaXplorer and it went well. I tried to upload a file using ftp mode, then as soon as i clicked upload my site gets this error on my browser:

I prefer to use CuteFTP, I don't recommend to use extensions because they may have some vulnerabilities that could damage your website.
