Hi -
Welcome to the forums. Which program are you using? For Lightroom/ACR the answer is yes. The Aperture page doesn't list the Xsi/450d as a supported camera, and from a quick look on the Aperture Support pages it looks like no support yet. You could convert to DNG and import that though.
