Yes, they also work with 1.2 and 2.0, using the open source tool chain (or the Apple SDK with private APIs enabled)

Apple SDK with private APIs enabled, is there a link on how to do this?

After installing the project into xcode, there seem to be some problems building and I am assuming it is because the private APIs are not enabled

Thanks for the help and the book is great

- fixed it myself - under

"Toolchain To Apple Sdk Conversion "
