Incorrect Lens In Aperture Metadata, Tamron lens is misidentified |

I recently purchased a Tamron 70-200 f2.8 lens for my Sony A700.. I am really pleased with the lens, however it is misidentified in the metatdata. It shows up as another Tamron Len,s the 70-300 unit. Any idea where the problems lies? in Aperture, Sony 700 or in the lens?
