"Rigid media" has no borderless printing option. Anyone know of a work-around? Any info as to which HP 13x19 papers actually require use of specialty media tray vs. regular tray (for which there is a borderless printing preset from Aperture)? Any links as to info and comparisons of HP papers appreciated.

Welcome to the forums. There's a very active 9180 group on Yahoo that you might check out, as well as a wiki at this link which has a great deal of paper info.

For printing borderless, you can select something other than rigid to get borderless, and then choose the specialty media tray as the source. How well this works depends on the thickness of the media though - what are you printing on?
I normally print everything through the specialty tray just because i change papers frequently and use the 9180 as a proofing printer for the Z3100.
