Welcome to the O'Reilly Money and Economics forum, and thanks for your post on this. Outsourcing represents a major portion of many IT budgets, and overall I think that one of the central problems that people dealing with outsourcing face is a real lack of understanding about what outsourcing is, how it impacts both the outsourcer and sourcee, and the role that outsourcing should (and must) play within the IT strategies of both industry and government.

We have been using outsourcing services now for nearly two years and found it to be one of the best software development investments we have ever made.
They are very good at understanding and anticipating problems. They are helping us identify and evaluate other related software such as e-compensation and e-appraisal solutions.
The efficiencies we've gained with the solution provider allow us to do more with less. Without these efficiencies, we would have to hire at least two additional people for our departments. We estimate that we're saving about USD100,000 annually.

Outsourcing other areas of one's business to a qualified and efficient outsources is very beneficial because it allows the business owner to concentrate on more important areas like promotion.

The future will be outsourcing in order to beat hard labor work. More advance countries will have more jobs for third world countries.
