Learning C With Xcode On The Mac

So, you want to write Mac software, have no coding experience, and wonder where to begin, what with the gold standard of Mac OS X Cocoa programming books expecting you to "already know some C programming and something about objects"?

In that case, a good starting point is the "Masters of the Void" website, which teaches you the basics of programming in C without requiring any previous development experience. Being aimed specifically at aspiring Mac developers, the site was updated last April so that it now uses the Xcode development environment throughout the tutorial.
