Image Map Response Time Is Greater Than Non Image Map, Image map response time is greater than non image map

New Member Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 4-March 09 Member No.: 16,361	Hello am trying steve souders example for the Image map using Fire fox No image map http://stevesouders.com/hpws/imagemap-no.php?t=1202374052139 Image map http://stevesouders.com/hpws/imagemap.php?t=1202374081920 I found that the response time of the image map page take 2204 ms while no image map takes: 1506 ms which is less than image map Can Any one explain why the non image map is faster than the image map ? Secondly:- The previous numbers are different from Fire fox to IE? Would you please advise?

FF3, IE8, Saf 3+, Op 9+, and Chrome all download more resources in parallel than browsers did when that example was created. It's best to try this in IE7 - that's a popular browser that still opens just two connections per hostname.
