Packet Description On Page 155, Expanded payload packet is confusing |

The diagram on page 155 showing an expansion of the payload packet of an ethernet frame is very confusing. First it shows an IP header of 12 bytes followed by 4 bytes dest IP address and 4 bytes source IP address. In reality the IP header is 20 bytes and contains the dst and src addresses. Then comes the TCP dst and src ports and then the TCP header. This is also confusing since the TCP ports are part of the TCP header. The other confusing part is it shows an IP CRC and a TCP CRC following the data. This is wrong. The IP CRC is part of the IP header and the TCP CRC is part of the TCP header.
