Year after year, guitar remains the most popular instrument — though it was said turntables briefly pulled ahead a while back. This year at NAMM, the huge musical instrument trade show, I saw more high-tech guitar accessories and software than ever.
O’Reilly author Mark Nelson makes a point of playing guitar into each digital recorder he reviews for us. He's also tested several guitar-oriented effects boxes, including the Native Instruments Guitar Rig 2 and the M-Audio Black Box. Mark even checked out a fun little MIDI guitar, the Yamaha EZ-AG. We're currently rounding up even more digital guitar gadgets; please let us know what you'd like us to review.
