Well, now that makes two of us! So I checked again today...really, really carefully (with my glasses on) and I think I found it!

Open up the battery compartment, take the batteries out, and look on the innter right side-wall of the battery compartment and you should see a white serial number sticker.

So, I wonder what the special offer is from Olympus?

Also here:
Menu>Others>System Info.

FYI, that's also where you find the firmware version.
Mine shipped with Version 1.03 and there's an update (1.04) only available on the Japanese Olympus site. The update installer for windows can be downloaded, but it too is only in Japanese...
I updated mine successfully just by clicking on what seemed to be the 'ok' or 'continue' button a couple times... easy, no problems.

Thanks, Greg. I found it. I had looked there yesterday but my 75 yr old eyes didn't see it. Thanks, Bubba

The offer is a coupon for 10% discount on LS-10 accessories from their Emporium site with free shipping and 1 month extension of warrenty. There are not that many useful accessories offered, however. Bubba
